The Weatherization Assistance Program, a department of MAG Association of Governments (MAG), is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to perform weatherization-related HVAC labor on residential dwellings in the MAG Region consisting of Utah, Wasatch and Summit counties.

The Weatherization Assistance Program was established in 1977 by the Department of Energy to assist low-income persons in reducing their household utility bills and improve the level of comfort while ensuring their health and safety by applying proven weatherization technologies and cost-savings measures to residential dwelling units.

The Weatherization Assistance Program will establish production goals based on annual contractual requirements, and anticipates a range of 6-12 completed jobs per
month depending upon funding availability (excluding crisis jobs). Each of these dwellings is expected to achieve a minimum level of energy efficiency after the
weatherization work has been completed as determined by an audit conducted by the MAG Weatherization Assistance Program.

In addition, the selected HVAC Contractor(s) will also be responsible to respond to Crisis jobs during the contract period. Response to Crisis jobs must be within 48
business hours of MAG providing notification of Crisis call.
