Senior Services during COVID-19

MAG Aging & Family Services is still providing senior services amid COVID-19. In accordance with CDC and State of Utah recommendations, we are taking extra precautions to slow the spread of the disease as we closely monitoring the situation on COVID-19.

Changes to Our Services

In-home services We are continuing to provide in-home services and case management. All case management will be conducted virtually or by the phone. If you are not receiving services, please contact your case manager. If you cannot get a hold of your case manager, please call 801-229-3804.
HEAT Program In order to reduce applicant exposure to the COVID-19 virus, we are no longer accepting HEAT applications in person at DWS or MAG offices. HEAT applications can be submitted online and can be mailed to 478 South Geneva Road, Vineyard, UT 84059, emailed to heat@mountainland.org or faxed to 801-229-3670. For shut off or crisis applications, please contact 801-229-3855.
OmbudsmanOur long-term care ombudsman team is no longer entering long-term residential and nursing care facilities. All advocacy is occurring virtually or over the phone.
Senior Nutrition ProgramThe facility that prepares our food is checking temperatures of everyone who enters the kitchen, is stopping every hour to sanitize and wash hands/change gloves, and has a person dedicated to wiping down surfaces throughout preparation.
Meals on WheelsMeal delivery continues with new social distancing guidelines. We are wiping down and sanitizing frequently touched surfaces, using hand sanitizer between delivering at home and washing hands with soap and water both before and after deliveries and hanging meals in a bag on door handles to limit face-to-face interaction. Drivers will wait to make sure that the meal has been received.
Senior Centers
All senior centers are closing and will not be serving congregate/community meals. However, many senior centers are providing meals through curb-side pick up for seniors age 60+. Please contact the closest senior center to you to order a meal the day before by 1 p.m.

If there is an outbreak in our community and it becomes necessary to temporarily stop delivery of services, we will notify you directly. We will keep you informed with additional steps we are taking.
