COVID-19 Emergency Small Business Grant Program

MAG has launched an Emergency Small Business Grant Program in response to COVID-19. The goal of the program is to assist small businesses located in Summit or Wasatch County that have been hit hardest by the COVID-19 outbreak. Funding for the program is provided through the Utah State Small Cities Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. The CDBG program received additional funding to address COVID-19 through the recently passed CARES Act. Eligible businesses may apply for up to $5,000 each.

Business Requirements:

  1. Must be located in Summit or Wasatch County.
  2. Have been negatively impacted by COVID-19.
  3. Have 20 or fewer employees.
  4. Have a current business license.
  5. Have the ability to document and report on the use of funds if awarded.

Eligible Uses

  1. Rent & Utilities
  2. Payroll
  3. Outstanding debt
  4. Other immediate operational costs
  5. Cleaning and disinfecting

Ineligible Uses

  1. Mortgage payments of personal residence for home based businesses.
  2. Tax Debt
