The 2010 Census was conducted 1 April 2010 and was a head count of America. Data from the census has started to be released in 2011 with a majority of data to be available late spring 2011.
Regional Planning Committee
Mountainland Association of Governments (MAG) is the designated Metropolitan Planning Organization for the Utah County Urbanized Area, otherwise known as the Mountainland Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO). The MAG Regional Planning Committee is the MPO board and is made up of an elected representative from each municipality in Utah County, Utah County Commissioners, Utah Transportation Commissioner, Utah Transit Authority and Utah Air Quality board member. The Mountainland Regional Planning Committee was established to supervise all transportation planning and air quality matters for Utah County.
About the Planning Department
The Regional Transportation Planning Department at MAG has worked hard to improve the transportation network in Utah County for nearly 3 decades. In recent years, we have assisted in providing funding for many crucial projects.
TIP Selection ProcessFor MPO Transportation FundsTIP Project Selection The MPO funds projects and programs that have congestion relief, air quality, safety, and multimodal benefits. The process for funding new projects is ongoing. All sponsors requesting funding must complete a Project Idea Form and be approved the the MPO Technical Advisory Committee before moving on to complete a Concept Report. A calendar with due dates, the selection process, and other tools are available to aid in developing proposed projects. |
