Mountainland's staff is involved in various community-based committees where transportation issues are discussed.  Staff members make presentations to city and county planning commissions, local elected officials, schools and university classes, and local business groups on Mountainland's planning activities.  Three or four  Transportation & Community Planning Open Houses are held annually. 

Many members of the MPO staff speak a language other than English, such as:  Spanish, French, Latvian, Russian, Mandarin Chinese, Fijian, Hindi, Greek, and we contract with InterWest Interpreting for American Sign Language.

Staff members are involved in all transportation related studies workshops, focus groups, and public meetings.  Presentations are also given to legislators, legislative committees, and local Chambers of Commerce. This article will be updated regularly as staff meets with citizens in the Mountainland MPO.
