Orem Bike and Pedestrian Study
In early 2010, Orem adopted its first comprehensive Bicycle Master Plan with the help of MAG and Alta Planning + Design. The vision guiding the development and implementation of the plan is captured in its Mission Statement:
“Orem will be the most bicycle and pedestrian friendly city in the State of Utah, and will berated a ‘Platinum’ Bicycle Friendly Community by the League of American Bicyclists.”
The Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan will be implemented through a comprehensive program of
activities based on the following goals:
1. Complete Streets
2. Implementation
3. Evaluation
4. Environmental Sustainability
5. Transit Integration
6. Maintenance
7. Education & Encouragement
8. Enforcement
9. Health & Safety
