On an annual basis, the Mountainland MPO prepares a Work Program to describe the transportation planning work undertaken by the MPO, UDOT, and UTA within the MPO planning area. The program gives a general overview of the planning process by describing the planned work, budget, and sources of funding. The Work Program is for the FY-2011 fiscal year, beginning July 1, 2010.  After a thorough recruitment process that saw over 60 applications from across the country, the Mountainland Association of Governments (MAG) Executive Council selected Andrew K. Jackson as their new Executive Director on Thursday, December 3rd. Jackson replaces Darrell Cook, who is retiring after 37 years at Mountainland. The Executive Council is made up of every mayor in Summit, Utah, and Wasatch Counties, and three commissioners or council members from each of the counties. |

Mountainland Association of Governments, organized in 1972, serves the three county region of Summit, Wasatch and Utah Counties, Utah, population of 588,003 (2008 Census Estimate). Mountainland AOG offices are located at 586 East 800 North, Orem, UT. Our hours of operation are Monday-Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The office is closed on most recognized holidays.

Mountainland Association of Governments (MAG) is organized through an Interlocal Cooperation Agreement as an area agency designated to provide services to the cities and counties of Summit, Utah and Wasatch Counties.
Responsibilities of the organization include administration of the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for Utah County and of the Area Agency on Aging for the three-county region. Other services coordinated by MAG include rural transportation in Wasatch County (RPO), community planning and economic development activities for the cities and counties in the region, such as the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.
